Hispanic Congregation

Greetings! Welcome to First Baptist Church Newport News. I am glad you have chosen to visit our website. I wanted to let you know that we are a multicultural Christian family made up of people from almost every part of Latin America: Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and the United States.

The only one missing is you.
And we want you to be part of us.

If you are looking for a family of faith that loves Jesus, if you are looking for a family of faith whose members love one another, if you are looking for a family of faith to grow spiritually and serve the community with; then First Baptist Church is that family for you. I hope this is simply the beginning of a lasting relationship between us. I hope to have the opportunity to see you in our worship service and to greet you personally. It is my prayer that you can experience the message of love, faith and hope of Jesus in our wor-ship gathering, and that you can become part of this great family of faith. Here at First Baptist Church, we are a family close to you. Look forward to see you soon!

Many blessings,
Pastor Juan

Our Mission
Embracing God, Equipping Christ-followers, Engaging Our World
We embrace God through corporate worship, personal prayer and worship, and through learning to experience God in our day circumstances.
We equip Christ-followers through excellent teaching, small group Bible studies, spiritual leadership development, and the practice of servant-hood.
We engage our world through servant-hood, generosity, participation in mission actions in our community, investing in our neighbors, and by participating in short-term mission experiences.
Our vision
Reaching out to the next generations for Christ, with love, service, and commitment.
VIDA Groups
LIFE Groups
We have a network of small groups that meet throughout the week in different parts of the city. We call them LIFE Groups, because it is in those groups where:
L – Live in worship and fellowship
I – Incorporate the Word of God in our lives
F – Feel for one another
E – Engage our community for Christ
Each LIFE Group provides a safe place for people to develop a meaningful relationship with God and with one another. It is in the LIFE Groups where we really get to know other people and we let ourselves be known, we love and we are loved. LIFE Groups offer the perfect conditions for us to be transformed and to live a balanced Christian life. Here you will find how the Word of God applies to your life and particular situations. You will find meaningful worship, mutual edification and support in prayer through a group of brothers and sisters who love God and love one another. You will find our family of faith being just that: family.
Join a group today. For more information about our LIFE Groups, please call the church office at 757-930-0911 to talk to our pastor, or send him an e-mail at jgarcia@fbcnn.org.
Mission Kidz

Misión Kidz is our children ministry, which aims to collaborate with parents in the education and Christian formation of our children. We teach stories. We have games, music, and manual activities so our children learn and apply biblical principles to their daily lives.

Misión Kidz meets on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. We grow, share and have fun!

“Train the child is his way, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22: 6

For more information about our children ministry, please e-mail Sandra Soledispa, Misión Kidz Director, at pibnnmisionkidz@gmail.com.
